You can change the impedance value in
accordance with your speaker’s impedance.
The default settings are underlined.
1 Press AMP MENU.
Set the function of the remote to DVD, and
then press AMP MENU.
2 Press X/x repeatedly until “SP. IMP.
()” appears in the front panel display,
then press ENTER.
3 Press X/x to select “SP 4/6” or “SP
8” in accordance with impedance,
then press ENTER or AMP MENU.
Notes
Use high performance speakers.
Use suitably sized speakers of similar performance
for the front, center, surround, and surround back
speakers.
Speaker impedance
To enjoy the best possible multi channel
surround, connect speakers with a nominal
impedance of 8 ohms or higher to the FRONT,
CENTER, SURROUND and SURROUND
BACK terminals, and set the value to “SP 8.”
Refer to the operating instructions supplied with
your speakers if you are not sure of their
impedance. (This information is often on the
back of the speaker.) Alternatively, you may
connect speakers of nominal impedance
between 4 and 8 ohms to any or all of the speaker
terminals. In this case, be sure to set the value to
“SP 4/6” even if you connect just one speaker
of nominal impedance between 4 and 8 ohms.

SP 8 Select this if the speaker
impedance value is 8 ohms or
higher.
SP 4/6 Select this if the speaker
impedance value is under 8 ohms.
