Chapter 4 Playing Discs
(DVP-NW50 only)
1 Press DISPLAY on the remote.
The following display appears. The number in
parentheses indicates the total number of titles, tracks,
etc., of the disc.
Press G /g/F/f repeatedly to select a search
method on the remote.
When playing a DVD VIDEO/DVD-RW

3 Select the number of the title, chaper, track, time
code, etc. you want by pressing the numeric
buttons to select the digit.
The Unit starts playback from the selected number or
time.
To turn off the display
Press DISPLAY on the remote repeatedly until the
display is turned off.
Notes
The title, chapter, or track number displayed is the same
number as that of recorded on the disc.
You cannot search for a scene on a DVD+RW using the time
code.
The following operations are set up using the remote
while looking at a TV screen.
Selecting the audio
Switches the language of the sound track.
Press AUDIO on the remote while playing a disc.
Each time you press AUDIO on the remote, the language
of the sound track changes.
Note
Depending on the DVD VIDEO, you cannot change the audio
setting even if multilingual audio are recorded on the disc. In this
case, use the DVDs menu (page 24).
Selecting the subtitles
If subtitles are recorded on the disc, you can change the
subtitles, or display or hide them whenever you want,
while playing a DVD.
Press SUBTITLE on the remote while playing a disc.
Each time you press SUBTITLE on the remote, the subtitle
of the DVD changes.
If you want to hide the subtitle from the TV screen,
press SUBTITLE on the remote until the display shows
SUBTITLE OFF on the TV screen.
Note
Depending on the DVD VIDEO, you cannot change subtitles
even if multilingual subtitles are recorded on the disc. In this
case, use the DVDs menu (page 24).
Selecting the angle
You can change the angles even if various angles (multi-
angles) for a scene are recorded on the DVD VIDEO.
When Angle Mark is set to ON in the setup display,
angle mark is displayed on the TV screen (page 29).
Press ANGLE on the remote while playing a disc.
Each time you press ANGLE on the remote, the angle of
the DVD changes.
