Chapter 3 Playing Discs
(CDP-NW10 only)
Various play mode functions
(Shuffle play, Repeat play)
Shuffle play
You can play back tracks in random order.
1 Press MODE on the CD display.
The Mode Menu appears.
2 Press the SHUF SELECT.
SHUF is highlighted.
3 Press N to start Shuffle play.
Shuffle Play starts.
Repeat play
1 Press MODE on the CD display.
The following display appears.
2 Press the A SELECT repeatedly.
Repeat play starts from the selected track.
Each time you press the button, the play mode
changes as shown below.
REP-OFF t REP1 t REP
About the playback range
Press REP-OFF (repeat off), REP1 (repeat one), or REP
(repeat all) SELECT repeatedly on Mode Menu.
The playback range may be different depending on the play
mode.
SHUF (shuffle)
If you select Plays
REP-OFF All tracks on a disc
randomly once.
REP1 A single track repeatedly.
REP All tracks on a disc play
repeatedly.
CONT (continue)
If you select Plays
REP-OFF All tracks on a disc play
once.
REP1 A single track repeatedly.
REP All tracks on a disc play
repeatedly.
Searching for a particular point on a disc
(Search/Scan)
You can quickly locate a particular point on a disc.
To locate a point quickly using the previous/next
buttons (Search)
You can search for the next or previous track using ./
> on the Unit.
Press . or > lightly once to go to the next or
previous track during playback.
To locate a point quickly by playing a disc in fast
forward or fast reverse (Scan)
1 Press m or M during playback on the remote.
2 When you find the point you want to play back
while scanning, press N to return to normal speed.
Fast forwarding or reversing stops and returns to the
normal playback when the track goes to the next track
or previous track.
