AUX/OPTICAL
TV, VCR, SAT/Cable Box or portable audio players
can be connected to AUDIO IN jacks at the back
of the unit so that sound from the auxiliary
component comes into the unit and out through
the speakers.
Connecting Auxiliary Components
Refer to Connecting AUDIO IN from external
sources such as TV for details on connecting the
auxiliary components to the unit.
Selecting AUX/OPTICAL Mode
Press either SOURCE button on the main unit or
AUX/OPTICAL button on the remote control to
select AUX/OPTICAL mode.
Sound Output in AUX or OPTICAL
Mode
• You may change the Surround Sound setting
to STEREO mode if you like (see instructions
under Overview of Controls). However,
we recommend you leave the system in full
surround mode.
• If the auxiliary audio signal is mono, there
will be no output from some speakers in full
surround mode.

6. Press or EXIT button to go to the previous

Network Test
You can test the connectivity of the network
con guration by “pinging” an IP address. Pinging
means sending a signal to an IP address and
waiting for a retuning signal.
