# When playing backMP3 files recorded as VBR
(variable bit rate)files, the bit rate valueis not dis-
played even after switching to bit rate.(VBR will
be displayed.)
# When playing backWMA files recorded as
VBR (variable bit rate) files, theaverage bit rate
value is displayed.
# When you have turnedtag display off, you
cannot switch to tracktitle, artist name, album
title or comment.
# If specific information has not beenrecorded
on an MP3/WMAdisc, No xxxx will bedisplayed
(e.g., No title).
# With someapplications used to encode WMA
files, album namesand other text information
may not becorrectly displayed.
When playing back a WAV disc
1 Press OPEN to open the front panel.
2 Press DISPLAY.
Press DISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
the following settings:
Form 1
Play time
: folder name : file name
Form 2
Play time and
: folder namePlay time and
: file name : folder name and : file
name
# You canonly play back WAV files in the fre-
quencies 16, 22.05,24, 32, 44.1 and 48kHz
(LPCM), or 22.05and 44.1 kHz (MS ADPCM).The
sampling frequency shownin the display may be
rounded.
Scrolling text information
in the display
This unit can display the first 22 letters only of
folder name, file name, track title, artist name,
album title and comment. When the recorded
information is longer than 22 letters, you can
scroll the text to the left so that the rest of the
text information can be seen.
1 Press OPEN to open the front panel.
2 Press DISPLAYand hold until the text
information begins to scroll through the
display.
The text information scrolls.
Notes
! Unlike MP3 andWMA file format, WAV files
display only foldername and file name.
! When Ever Scrollis set to ON at theinitial set-
ting, CD text information scrolls continuously
in the display.If you want to display the first
22 characters of textinformation temporarily
and scroll from thebeginning, press and hold
DISPLAY. About EverScroll, refer to Switching
the Ever Scroll on page55.
! When you selectthe display form 2, the titles
are displayed upto 14 letters long (referto
page 9).
Selecting tracks from the
file name list
File name list lets you see the list of file names
(or folder names) and select one of them to
playback.
1 Press FUNCTION to select file name list.
Press FUNCTION until names of files or
folders appears in the display.
