DJ PLAYER OPERATION
BASIC OPERATION/DEMARCHES DE BASE
Stopping Playback
Press the EJECT button (0) when the EJECT UNLOCK/LOCK switch
is set to UNLOCK.
When the EJECT UNLOCK/LOCK switch is set to LOCK, press the PLAY/
PAUSE button (6) during playback, or when a Cue point has been
set, press the CUE button (back cue) before pressing the EJECT button
(0) to eject the disc.
Playback will stop and the disc will be ejected.
Note that the CDJ-1000MK2 does not come with a stop button.
To Pause Play
During playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button (6).
÷ The PLAY/PAUSE buttons indicator and [CUE] indicator will flash, and play
will be paused.
÷ When the PLAY/PAUSE button is pressed again, play will resume and the but-
ton indicator will light steadily.
÷ In the CDJ mode broken sound will still be audible during the standby mode; if
you wish to stop all sound, lower the output sound volume on your audio mixer.
÷ When the unit has not been operated for 80 minutes or more in pause mode,
the disc rotation stops automatically. In this instance, playback can be resumed
by pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button.
Track Cueing
7 TRACK SEARCH buttons (4, ¢)
Press one of the TRACK SEARCH buttons (4, ¢).
÷ Each time the button is pressed, the track is cued in the direction corre-
sponding to the arrow on the button (during playback of one track, to cue
playback to the beginning of the preceding track, press the 4 button
twice).
÷ When the button is pressed down and held, cueing is continuous. If the
button is held for two seconds or more, the cue speed increases.
÷ Pressing the 4 button twice at the beginning of the first track, will cause
the unit to cue to the very last track.
÷ When the end of the disc's last track is reached, pressing the ¢ button
will cue to the first track (track 1).
7 Super-Fast Track Search
Rotate the Jog dial while pressing one of the TRACK SEARCH
buttons (4, ¢).
÷ While holding either one of the buttons depressed, rotate the dial in the
direction corresponding to the direction you wish to skip; the unit will en-
ter the high-speed skip mode.
÷ The direction of skip is in accordance with the direction in which the Jog
dial is rotated. (the TRACK SEARCH button direction is released.)
÷ The high-speed skip mode is cancelled when the TRACK SEARCH button
is released.
Fast-Forward / Fast-Reverse
7 Operation using the SEARCH buttons (1, ¡)
Press the SEARCH buttons (1, ¡) during playback.
Press and hold the ¡ button to fast forward the disc; press and hold the 1
button to do fast reverse.
7 Super-Fast Search
Rotate the Jog dial while pressing one of the SEARCH buttons
(1, ¡)
÷ Hold down the button while turning the Jog dial in the direction you wish
to search to enter fast forward or fast reverse mode.
Arrêt de la lecture
Appuyez sur le bouton EJECT (0) si le sélecteur EJECT UNLOCK/
LOCK est réglé sur UNLOCK.
Si le sélecteur EJECT UNLOCK/LOCK est réglé sur LOCK, appuyez sur le
bouton PLAY/PAUSE (6) pendant la lecture, ou si un Point de repérage
a été posé, appuyez sur le bouton CUE (Retour au point de repérage)
avant dappuyer sur le bouton EJECT (0) pour éjecter le disque.
La lecture sarrêtera et le disque sera éjecté.
Notez que le CDJ-1000MK2 nest pas équipé dun bouton darrêt.
Pause de la lecture
Pendant la lecture, appuyer sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE
(6).
÷ Lindicateur de la touche PLAY/PAUSE et lindicateur [CUE] clignotent et la
lecture est interrompue.
÷ Si vous appuyez à nouveau sur la touche PLAY/PAUSE, la lecture reprend et
lindicateur de la touche reste allumé.
÷ En mode CDJ, un son émis par intermittence reste audible en mode dattente;
si on ne désire aucun son, abaisser le volume de sortie sur la table de mixage
audio.
÷ Si lappareil demeure en pause pendant plus de 80 minutes, lentraînement du
disque sarrête. Cela étant, la lecture peut reprendre en appuyant sur la touche
PLAY/PAUSE.
Recherche dune plage
7 Touches TRACK SEARCH (4, ¢)
Appuyer une fois sur les touches TRACK SEARCH (4, ¢).
÷ A chaque poussée sur la touche, le lecteur recherche la plage dans le sens
correspondant à la flèche de la touche actionnée (pendant la lecture dune
plage, pour ramener la lecture au début de la plage précédente, appuyer
deux fois sur la touche 4).
÷ Si on maintient la poussée sur la touche, la recherche se poursuit. La vitesse
de recherche saccélère si la poussée est maintenue pendant deux secondes
ou plus.
÷ Deux poussées sur la touche 4 au début de la première plage fera que
l'appareil avance jusqu'à la toute dernière plage.
÷ Quand la fin de la dernière plage est atteint, une poussée sur la touche
¢ fait passer la recherche à la première plage (Plage 1) du disque.
7 Recherche Super-Rapide de Plage
Tourner la molette tout en appuyant sur une des touches TRACK
SEARCH (4, ¢).
÷ En maintenant une des touches enfoncées, tourner la molette dans le sens
correspondant à la direction où vous voulez sauter des plages; lappareil se
place en mode de saut à grande vitesse.
÷ Le sens du saut correspond à la direction dans laquelle la molette pas-à-
pas est tournée. (La touche TRACK SEARCH est relâchée.)
÷ Le mode de saut à grande vitesse est annulé lorsque la touche TRACK
SEARCH est relâchée.
Avance rapide / Recul rapide
7 Fonctionnement à laide des touches SEARCH. (1,
¡)
Appuyer sur les touches SEARCH (1, ¡) pendant la lecture.
Maintenir la poussée sur la touche ¡ pour effectuer une avance rapide sur
le disque, ou maintenir la poussée sur la touche 1 pour un recul rapide.
7 Recherche Super-Rapide
Tourner la molette tout en appuyant sur une des touches SEARCH
(1, ¡)
÷ Maintenir la poussée sur la touche tout en tournant la molette dans le sens
où vous voulez exécuter la recherche pour entrer en mode davance rapide
ou de recul rapide.
