You can use this function to select the folder containing the
sound file you want be played.
Enter the Folder Select Mode
Press the #2 button. SELECT MODE is displayed and the
folder select mode is turned on.
The display reads as shown below.
The unit cannot enter the folder select mode if the loaded
medium contains no folder recorded.

You can give names to medium through the presetting disc
name function (see p.29).
Note that depending on the unit, display may not be possible.
If you try to display the name of a media that does not have one,
"NO NAME" is displayed instead.
Folder names and file names are not displayed correctly if the
loaded medium does not conform to ISO 9660 Level 1/2 or if
they contain any character unacceptable to your CD writer.
The Playing time display may not match the actual playing time
depending on the MP3 file recording states.
NOTE
Switch the display that appears while MP3 files are playing.
Switching Display for MP3:
Each time you press the DISP button, the display during files
play switches as follows.
Playing time display (Track time only)
Disc name (DNPS) (Only when being preset)
Folder name
File name
Switching Display for MP3
Using the remote, directly input the file number that you want
to listen to.
Using the number buttons on the remote, input the number of
the file that you want to listen to.
The selected file number will blink in the display for 10
seconds.
If you make no further input in the 10-second period, the
number entry mode will automatically be canceled.
Press either the 4 or ¢ button while the file number is
blinking.
The file starts playing.
Canceling Direct File Search While It Is Operating:
Press the 38 button.
You cannot use the direct file search function while using
random play.
The only files that can be selected using Direct File Search, are
those in the folder containing the MP3 file currently playing.
