Introduction of DAB operation
You can use this product with a separately sold
hide-away DAB tuner (GEX-P700DAB). For
details concerning operation, refer to the DAB
tuner’s operation manuals (This product is a
head unit group 1 unit). This section provides
information on DAB operations with this prod-
uct which differs from that described in the
DAB tuner’s operation manual.
1 EXTR
indicator
The currently received Service has a
Secondary Service Component.

TEXT
indicator
The currently received service has a dynamic
label.

A (NNC) indicator *
Shows when Announce function is on.
4 W (THR) indicator *
Shows when Weather (Area Weather Flash)
function is on.
5 News ( ) indicator
Shows when a news announcement is
received.
6 Traffic ( ) indicator
Shows when a traffic announcement is
received.
* If the set announcement support is received,
the letters in parentheses light.
Operation
You can use the following functions with this
product. (Reference pages are in this manual.)
• Available PTY function (Refer to page 51.)
• Dynamic label function (Refer to page 51.)
Also, operation of the following two functions
with this product differs.

tuner’s operation manual.)
• Changing the Label (Refer to page 13.)
• Operating Announcements with the Function

This product does not have the following four
functions. (Reference pages are in the hide-
away DAB tuner’s operation manual.)
• Service Follow (Refer to page 8.)
• Service List Function (Refer to page 15.)
• Language Filter Function (Refer to page 15.)
• Using the PGM Button (Refer to page 26.)
Changing the label
1 Press OPEN to open the front panel.
2 Press DISPLAY.
Press DISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
the following settings:
Service Label (Service label)—SC Label (Service
component label)—DAB TEXT (Dynamic
label)—Ensemble Label—PTY (PTY label)
Notes
• With a service component that has no service
component label or dynamic label, switching
to service component label and dynamic label
is not possible.
• With displays other than service label, if you
do not perform an operation within eight sec-
onds or press a button other than the
DISPLAY, the display returns to service label
indicators.
