Troubleshooting
What appears to be trouble is not always serious. Check the following points before calling a service center.
Symptoms Remedies/Causes
General
Sound cannot be heard from the speakers. • Adjust the volume to the optimum level.
Check the cords and connections.
The unit does not work at all. Reset the unit (see page 3).
FM/AM
SSM automatic presetting does not work. Store stations manually.
Static noise while listening to the radio. Connect the antenna firmly.
Disc playback
Disc cannot be played back. Insert the disc correctly.
CD-R/CD-RW cannot be played back.
Tracks on the CD-R/CD-RW cannot be
skipped.
Insert a finalized CD-R/CD-RW.
Finalize the CD-R/CD-RW with the component which
you used for recording.
Disc can neither be played back nor ejected. Unlock the disc (see page 9).
Eject the disc forcibly (see page 3).
Disc sound is sometimes interrupted. Stop playback while driving on rough roads.
Change the disc.
Check the cords and connections.
“NO DISC” appears on the display. Insert a playable disc into the loading slot.
“PLEASE” and “EJECT“ appear alternately
on the display.
This occurs sometimes due to over-heating. Eject the disc
or change to another playback source.
MP3/WMA playback
Disc cannot be played back. Use a disc with MP3/WMA tracks recorded in a format
compliant with ISO 9660 Level 1, Level 2, Romeo, or
Joliet.
Add the extension code <.mp3> or <.wma> to the
file names.
Noise is generated. Skip to another track or change the disc. (Do not add the
extension code <.mp3> or <.wma> to non-MP3 or
WMA tracks.)
A longer readout time is required
(“READING” keeps flashing on the display).
Do not use too many hierarchical levels and folders.

SSM nu este operabilă.
Memoraţi posturile de radio manual.
Se percepe zgomot de fond în timpul
funcţionării aparatului de radio.
Conectaţi bine antena.
Redare disc
Discul nu poate  redat. Introduceţi discul în mod corect.
Discul CD-R/RW nu poate  redat.
Nu se poate trece peste piesele de pe CD-R/
CD-RW.
Introduceţi un CD-R/CD-RW cu sesiune nalizată.
Finalizaţi CD-R/CD-RW-ul cu ajutorul componentei pe care
aţi utilizat-o pentru înregistrare.
Discul nu poate  nici redat, nici ejectat. Deblocaţi discul (vezi pagina 9).
Ejectaţi discul în mod forţat (vezi pagina 3).
Sunetul este uneori întrerupt în timpul citirii
discului.
Întrerupeţi redarea în timpul deplasărilor pe teren
accidentat.
Schimbaţi discul.
Vericaţi cablurile şi conexiunile.
Pe aşaj apare mesajul „NO DISC” (Niciun
disc).
Introduceţi în fantă un disc care poate  redat.
Pe aşaj apar alternativ mesajele „PLEASE” şi
„EJECT”.
Acest fenomen se produce, uneori, din cauza supraîncălzirii.
Ejectaţi discul sau schimbaţi sursa de redare.
Redare MP3/WMA
Discul nu poate  redat. Utilizaţi un disc cu piese în format MP3/WMA înregistrate
într-un format compatibil cu formatul ISO 9660 Level 1,
Level 2, Romeo sau Joliet.
Adăugaţi extensiile <.mp3> sau <.wma> la denumirile
şierelor.
Se produc zgomote.
Treceţi la altă piesă sau schimbaţi discul (nu adăugaţi extensia
<.mp3> sau <.wma> la piese care nu sunt în format MP3
sau WMA.)
Este nevoie de un interval mai lung pentru
citire (pe aşaj apare intermitent mesajul
„READING”) (Citire).
Nu utilizaţi prea multe niveluri ierarhice şi directoare.
