Programming the Playing
Order—Program Play
You can arrange the playing order in which the chapters/tracks/files
are played back before you start playing.
You can program up to 99 steps.
Program Play may not be able to use with JPEG discs and some
DVDs.
On the remote control ONLY:
There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is
canceled before you finish, start from step
2
again.

Load discs.

Press the corresponding disc number button
(DISC1 – DISC5) while holding down SHIFT for
which you have loaded a disc, then press 7.

CHAP (chapter) Repeats the current chapter (the REPEAT 1
indicator lights up on the display)
TRACK (STEP*) Repeats the current track (the REPEAT 1
indicator lights up on the display)
* “STEP” appears during Program Play or
Random Play.
TITLE Repeats the current title (the REPEAT
indicator lights up on the display)
DISC Repeats all tracks on the current disc (the
REPEAT 1DISC indicator lights up on the
display)
ALL Repeats all the discs loaded on the disc trays
or of the program (the REPEAT ALL
indicator lights up on the display)
OFF Select to cancel Repeat Play mode.
To stop playing, press 7.
To cancel Repeat Play, press REPEAT repeatedly until Repeat Play
mode indicators are turned off on the display.
Pressing 7 during Repeat Play of DVD stops playback and
cancels Repeat Play.
Turning off the unit will also cancel the Repeat Play.
While playing a SVCD or VCD with the PBC function
When the PBC function is activated, Repeat All may not work
properly.

Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“PROGRAM” appears on the display.
Each time you press the button, the play mode changes as
follows:
The PROGRAM indicator also lights up on the display.
If a program has been stored in memory, the previous program
is called up.

Press the number buttons to select a disc tray.

For DVD, MP3 disc:
(1)Press the number buttons to select a title (for
DVD) or a group (for MP3) from the selected
disc in step

.
After entering a title or group number, chapter/track
number area will flash.
For how to use the number buttons, see “To go to a
particular title or chapter directly using the number
buttons” on page 30.
(2)Repeat step (1) to select a chapter (for DVD)
or a file (for MP3).
For SVCD, VCD, or CD:
Press the number buttons to select a track from
the selected disc in step
4
.
When you program a track from an SVCD, VCD, or CD, you
can skip the group/title number by pressing ENTER.
For how to use the number buttons, see “To go to a particular
track directly using the number buttons” on page 31.

While Random Play (page 34) is activated
You cannot use Program Play.
To use Repeat Play (page 32) for Program Play
Press REPEAT after starting Program Play. Only REPEAT 1 or
REPEAT ALL can be selected for Program Play.
