If ON is set:
You can enjoy the picture and background of an inserted
disc on the front or rear monitor while listening to an
alternate audio source, such as the radio, on this unit.
The Rear DVD function setting determines which remote
control sensor is recognized. When remote control
operation is disabled, operation from the head unit
controls is still possible.
Confirm this in the following table.
*
1
Use the remote control sensor of the connected monitor.
*
2
If an Alpine touch panel compatible monitor (monitor control lead
connected) is connected and touch operation can be performed.
5
Press and hold MENU for at least 2 seconds to

The volume of any add-on displays (rear monitor, etc.) cannot be
adjusted from the DVA-9965E.
Adjust the volume on the display itself. In addition, its sound
cannot be muted.
The function for external interruption of the sound of the rear
monitor (from the navigation system, for example) cannot be used
when the rear DVD function setting is turned on.
If you are listening to the AM radio while the rear DVD function is
set to ON, noises may be heard from the radio, but this is not a
malfunction.
