Conexiones
Desconecte la alimentación de todos los
equipos antes de efectuar las cone-
xiones.
Lea las instrucciones de cada
componente que desea usar con la platina
MD.
ª Conexión
Terminales ANALOG INPUT/OUTPUT
(BALANCED/UNBALANCED)
Emplee estos terminales para conectar la
platina a un mezclador, grabadora de cinta
cassette u otros componentes.
Asegúrese de insertar firmemente cada
enchufe. Para evitar los zumbidos y la
interferencia, no ate los cordones de
conexión junto al cordón de
alimentación o al cordón del altavoz.
Terminales DIGITAL INPUT 1/OUTPUT
Emplee estos terminales para conectar la
platina a un componente digital (tal como
un reproductor de CD, platina DAT,
amplificador digital, u otra platina MD).
Emplee el cable óptico digital opcional
(TOS) para la grabación digital. Conecte
el jack [DIGITAL IN 2] ubicado en el
panel frontal, a un componente digital
tal como una platina de DAT/MD.
Para realizar una conexión digital,
extraiga las tapas de los terminales. Si
no emplea los terminales, deje las tapas
en su lugar.
ª Cordón de alimentación
Asegúrese de conectar el cordón de
alimentación a un tomacorriente de CA
que tenga el voltaje correcto.
Sujete el enchufe para enchufar o
desenchufar el cordón de alimentación.
Instalación en el estante
Instale esta platina con el juego
de tornillos suministrados como
se ilustra.
Desenchufe el cable de alimentación del
tomacorriente de corriente alterna antes
de reposicionar el convertidor de tensión.
1. Ubique el selector de tensión en el
panel posterior.
2. Utilizando un destornillador de extremo
plano, ajuste en la posición adecuada
230 V o 120 V de acuerdo con su zona.

Track combination may not be
possible.
Tracks created by other editing
operations sometimes cannot be
combined.
Audio is interrupted during search.
When a track created by an editing
operation is searched, audio is some-
times interrupted.
Track numbers are not assigned
correctly.
When a CD is recorded through a
digital connection, short tracks may be
recorded depending on the contents of
the CD. Also, when auto track marking
is performed, the track numbers may
not be assigned correctly in some
cases.
The "TOC Reading" display will not
disappear.
"TOC Reading" is displayed for a longer
time than usual when a brand-new
recordable MD is inserted.
Note the following when you attempt
to perform recording while erasing
(overwriting) the previous recording:
The remaining recording time of the
MD may not be displayed correctly.
After repeated overwrite operations,
it may no longer be possible to
overwrite recording. In this case,
first edit the previous recording (by
erasing tracks, etc.) then proceed to
the overwrite operation.
The remaining recording time is
shorter after recording than it was
before recording.
The overwrite operation is not
recommended if the track to be
overwritten contains noise. Since
recording is performed on a 6-
cluster basis (approx. 12 seconds),
over-writing a noisy track may erase
a part of the track.
It is not possible to assign a track title
during overwrite recording.
Sometimes the maximum recording
time will not be available even after
performing "ERASE DISC".
In this case, try performing "ERASE
DISC" again. However, you will not be
able to UNDO it afterwards.
While the LP4 (quadruple long-play)
mode provides exceptional recording
time thanks to advanced compression
technology, very occasionally you may
hear some slight noise, depending on
the material being recorded. We
therefore recommend that if sound
quality is more important for your
recording project than recording time,
you use either the SP (stereo) or LP2
(double long-play) mode.
