Amplifier Operation
You can select the audio directly from the
components connected to the MULTI
CHANNEL IN jacks. This enables you to enjoy
high quality analog inputs like DVD or Super
Audio CD.
Surround effects and LIP SYNC (page 37) are
not activated when using this input.
Press MULTI CH IN 1/2 repeatedly to select
the multi channel audio source (“MULTI CH
1” or “MULTI CH IN 2”).
The selected audio source is output.
Note
This function is canceled when you select the sound
field indication by pressing MULTI CH IN 1/2, or
when you switch the input or sound field (page 26-29).
When a center speaker or sub
woofer is not connected (Analog
downmix function)
If you have set the center speaker to “NO” or
“MIX”, or set the sub woofer to “NO” in the
SPEAKER SET UP menu (page 18), and you
activate the MULTI CH IN function, the analog
center or sub woofer audio will be output from
the front left and right speakers.
Changing the information in
the display
You can check the sound field etc. by changing
the information in the display.
Press DISPLAY repeatedly.
Each time you press DISPLAY, the display will
change as follows.
Index name* and sound field name y Input
name and sound field name
* Index name appears only when you have assigned
one to the input (page 44). Index name does not
appear when only blank spaces have been entered, or
it is the same as the input name.
Displaying the input stream
information
You can check the input stream information
(about format, channel, etc.) of digital input
signals. The input stream information also
appears for 4 seconds when the amplifier detects
any changes in the digital input signal.
1 Rotate MAIN MENU to select “STREAM
INFO”.
2 Rotate MENU.
The input stream information appears.
3 Rotate –/+ for more information.
Changing the brightness of
the display
Press DIMMER repeatedly.
The brightness of the display changes in 3 steps
(0% DOWN, 60% DOWN, 100% DOWN*).
* When 100% DOWN is selected, the indication
“100% DOWN” does not appear in the display.
