Settings and Adjustments
Size
Selects the surround speaker position and whether
to engage the speakers.
Front
Center
Surround
Subwoofer
Distance
Set the distance from your listening position to the
front speakers in “Front” (front speaker) first (
A).
Then adjust the values in “Center” (centre
speaker) (
B) and “Surround” (surround speaker)
(
C). For speaker placement, see page 16.
Notes
The settings below may not be the defaults if you
followed the “Room Size” setup of “Step 8: Easy
Setup” (page 34) to reflect the current speaker
placement.
Change your current settings again should you change
the speaker positions.
Front
Set the front speaker distance within 1.0 to 7.0 m (set
in 0.2 m increments). The default setting is “1.6
.”
Center
Set the centre speaker distance between the “Front”
setting and -1.6 m of the “Front” setting (set in 0.2
m increments). The default setting is “1.6
.”
Surround
Set the surround speaker distance between the
“Front” setting and -4.6 m of the “Front” setting. (set
in 0.2 m increments). The default setting is “1.6
.”
Notes
When you select an item, sound momentarily cuts off.
If front and surround speakers are not placed at an
equal distance from your listening position, set the
distance according to the closest speaker.
Do not place the surround speakers farther away from
your listening position than the front speakers.
Depending on the input signal, the distance settings
may not be effective.
