Set the time to stop playback
or recording using the same
procedure as step 4.

Select the sound source or
prepare the tape.
For Play Timer:
Press or
repeatedly until the
music source (DVD, tape or tuner)
you want appears in the display, then
press ENTER
. e display will
show the timer settings.
For Rec Timer:
Load a recordable tape into the tape
deck. Press DIRECTION
on the
unit repeatedly to select “” to
record on one side or select “” or
“” to record on both sides.
When recording from the reverse
side, press (or touch on
the unit) repeatedly until the
indicator lights up to start playback
of the reverse side. Press
at
the point where you want to start
recording.
When you record on both sides, be
sure to start from the front side. If you
start from the reverse side, recording
stops at the end of reverse side.

Notes
If you use the Play Timer or Rec Timer and
the Sleep Timer at the same time, the Sleep
Timer has priority.
e Play Timer and Rec Timer will not be
activated if the system is turned on or if
“STANDBY” ashes in the display.
e volume is reduced to minimum during
Rec Timer.
e system turns on 30 seconds before
the preset time. Do not operate the system
from the time the system turns on until the
recording starts.
