Number of Sources Feature (continued)
To enter the Number of Sources Feature, select SOURCE SETUP from the top level of the Programming Menu and press Play .
At BASIC SETUP, press Previous once. At # OF SOURCES, press Play .
Using the Plus or Minus key, scroll through the numbers (1–8) to select the number of sources and then press Play .
Press the Setup button to return to the top level of the Programming Menu.
Source Basic Setup Procedure (Required)
Note: The Basic Setup Procedure should be performed for each source before proceeding to other source setting changes, as IR
control will be needed.
This procedure selects command templates for basic operation of the source equipment. You can further customize source control
with the Key Configuration, Numeric IR, and Source Select Command procedures. Before you perform this procedure, connect IR
emitters or link cables between the 857 connecting block and the source components and turn the sources on. Also make sure you
can control the sources with their remote controls aimed at the SaphIR K2 keypad in normal operating mode. See Source Basic
Setup flow chart on page 46.
For best results while using this procedure, refer to your completed Source Information Form on page 55.
To begin the Source Basic Setup Procedure, select SOURCE SETUP from the Programming Menu top level and press Play .
At BASIC SETUP, press Play again.
1. SOURCE NUM – Select and enter the source you want to configure.
2. SOURCE NAME – Select and enter a name for the source (e.g., DVD, Aux 2, Jazz). This name will appear on the keypad
display when the source is selected.
3. COMMAND TYPE – Select and enter a command type for the source. Choose one of the following options:
