INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the RadioShack 150-Watt 7-Piece Home
Theater Audio System with 5-DVD/CD Changer. This system
incorporates some of the best features in home theater technology. It
comes with a shielded center-channel speaker, a low pass-type
subwoofer, two shielded front-channel speakers, two surround
speakers, an AM and FM antenna, remote control, and a receiver
equipped with a tuner and a DVD player.
Your Home Theater System is ETL listed to UL standards and meets
all applicable FCC requirements.
REGION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
This DVD Player is designed and manufactured to respond to the
Region Management Information recorded on a DVD disc. If the
region number on the DVD disc does not correspond to the region
number of this DVD player, this DVD player cannot play that disc.
The region number of this DVD player is 1 (USA/CANADA).
Notes on Unauthorized Discs
You may not be able to play back some DVD video discs on this
player if they were purchased from outside your geographic area, or
made for business purposes.
NOTES ON COPYRIGHT
It is forbidden by law to copy, broadcast, show, broadcast on cable,
play in public, or rent copyrighted material without permission.
DVD video discs are copy protected, and any recordings made from
these discs will be distorted. This product incorporates copyright
protection technology that is protected by method claims of certain
U.S. patents and other intellectual property rights owned by
Macrovision Corporation and other rights owners. Use of this
copyright protection technology must be authorized by Macrovision
Corporation, and is intended for home and other limited viewing
uses only, unless otherwise authorized by Macrovision Corporation.
Reverse engineering or disassembly is prohibited.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should
be read before the appliance is operated.
Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be
retained for future reference.
Heed Warnings - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating
instructions should be adhered to.
Follow Instructions - All instructions should be followed.
Water and Moisture - The appliance should not be used near water -
for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in
a wet basement, or near a swimming pool.
Carts and Stands - The appliance should be used only with a cart or
stand that is recommended by the manufacturer. An appliance and
cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive
force, and uneven surfaces may cause the appliance and cart
combination to overturn.
Wall or Ceiling Mounting - The appliance should be mounted to a
wall or ceiling only as recommended by the manufacturer.
Ventilation - The appliance should be situated so that its location or
position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. For example,
the appliance should not be situated on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar
surface that may block the ventilation openings; or, placed in a built-
in installation, such as a book case or cabinet, that may impede the
flow of air through the ventilation openings.
Heat - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such
as radiators, stoves, or other appliances that produce heat.
Power Sources - The appliance should be connected to a power
supply only of the type described in the operating instructions, or as
marked on the appliance.
Grounding or Polarization - Precautions should be taken so that the
grounding or polarization means of an appliance are not defeated.
Power-Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so
they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon
or against them, paying particular attention to cords at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and where they exit from the appliance.
Cleaning - Clean only as recommended by the manufacturer.
Power Lines - Locate outdoor antenna away from power lines.
Outdoor Antenna Grounding - If an outside antenna is connected to
the receiver, be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and built up static charges.
Section 810 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70,
provides information with respect to proper grounding of the mast
and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an
antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of
antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and
requirements for the grounding electrode.
Nonuse Periods - The appliance power cord should be unplugged
from the outlet when left unused for a long period of time.
Object and Liquid Entry - Care should be taken so that objects do
not fall, and liquids are not spilled, into the unit openings.
Damage Requiring Service - The appliance should be serviced by
qualified service personnel when:
The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled, into the
appliance; or
The appliance has been exposed to rain; or
The appliance does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a
marked change in performance; or
The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance
beyond that described in the operating instructions. All other
servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
