PLAYING MP3 AND PICTURE FILE CDS
Playing an MP3 Disc
1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
2. Insert an MP3 disc in the disc tray, label side up.
3. Press
OPEN/CLOSE to close the disc tray. The unit loads the
disc and begins playback.
4. To pause playback, press
PAUSE II .
To resume playback, press
PLAY
K
.
5. To skip to the next or previous file while playing:
Press
NEXT
J
on the remote control or
SKIP
J
on the front
panel to skip to the beginning of the next file. Each time you
press
NEXT
J
or
SKIP
J
, the beginning of the next file is
located and played back.
Press
PREV
F
on the remote control or
SKIP
F
on the front
panel to skip back to the beginning of the previous file. Each
time you press
PREV
F
or
SKIP
F
, the beginning of the
previous file is located and played back.
6. You also can press
GOTO to enter a file number, and press
ENTER to begin playback.
7. To stop playback, press
STOP
D
.
Notes:
You cannot fast-reverse or fast-forward an MP3 disc.
During MP3 playback, if you press STOP
D
and then press
PLAY
K
again, the disc starts to play from the beginning of the
file which you stopped.
On-Screen Display
1. Turn on your TV to view the on-screen display of MP3 files.
Press
d, e, f, or g to select a file to listen to.
2. Press
ENTER to play the file.
The ability of this unit to read MP3 discs is dependent on:
The bit rate must be 64 - 256 kbps.
The total number of files on the disc should not exceed 254.
The maximum number of directories should not exceed 32.
The maximum depth level of directories should not exceed 4.
File names should be named using eight or fewer letters and/or
numbers, and must incorporate the “MP3” file extension.
EXAMPLE: ********.MP3 where each * is a letter or number.
Use only letters and/or numbers in file names. If you use special
characters, the file and/or folder names may not appear correctly.
When recording on CD-R discs, use 74-minute (650Mb) discs.
The CD-R or CD-RW discs should be “finalized” in the
computer by “single session format”.
Playing a Picture CD
1. Press OPEN /CLOSE to open the disc tray.
2. Insert a picture CD in the disc tray, label side up.
3. Press
OPEN/CLOSE to close the disc tray.
4. Press
DISC 1-5 to select and load the desired disc.
5. Press
PLAY
K
. The next picture automatically appears after
about five seconds.
Notes:
Press
MENU or STOP
D
to view thumbnail images.
Press
NEXT
J
or
PREV
F
to review all the images. To review
one image in full-screen, use
d, e, f, or g to highlight the image
and press
ENTER to confirm. The image you selected appears
on your TV in full-screen.
Press
PLAY
K
. The images automatically appear one by one for
about five seconds each.
Press
PAUSE II to interrupt playback, and press PLAY
K
to
resume playback.
Press
ANGLE to rotate the picture orientation by 90 degrees.
Press
AUDIO to change the picture presentation direction.
Press
SUBTITLE to return to the main menu for MP3 and
Picture CDs.
Press
ZOOM while playing a picture CD to enlarge the picture
up to three times.
TUNING TO A STATION MANUALLY
1. Press POWER to turn on the unit.
2. Repeatedly press
FUNCTION until the frequency band appears
on the display.
3. Press
BAND on the remote control or STOP
D
/BAND on the
front panel to select the desired band (AM or FM).
4. Press
F
TUNING
J
to tune to the desired station.
FM STEREO
Repeatedly press FM MODE until STEREO appears on the display.
Weak FM Stations
Repeatedly press FM MODE until MONO appears on the display.
Background noise is reduced, but the signal is mono. To restore
stereo reception, press
FM MODE until STEREO appears.
TO SEARCH FOR A STATION
AUTOMATICALLY
Hold down
F
TUNING
J
on the remote or front panel for a few
seconds to search for a station automatically. After tuning in a
