Controlling Zone 2 with the Remote
Controller
Note:
•To control Zone 2, you must press the remote control-
ler’s [ZONE 2] REMOTE MODE button first.
Adjusting the Volume for Zone 2
To Mute Zone 2:
Press the remote controller’s [ZONE 2] button, followed
by the [MUTING] button. To unmute Zone 2, press the
remote controller’s [ZONE 2] button again, followed by
the [MUTING] button, or adjust the volume for Zone 2.
Notes:
• Only analog input sources are output by the ZONE 2
LINE OUT and ZONE 2 SPEAKERS terminals. Dig-
ital input sources are not output. If no sound is heard
when an input source is selected, check to see if it’s
connected to an analog input.
• When the ZONE 2 SPEAKERS terminals are used,
listening modes that require surround back speakers,
such as Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES, and THX Select2
Cinema, are unavailable.
• While Zone 2 is on, the functions do not work.
•You can’t select different radio stations for the main
room and Zone 2. The same radio station will be used
for both.

Press the [ZONE 2] REMOTE
MODE button, then point the
remote controller at the AV
receiver and press the [ON] but-
ton.
Zone 2 turns on, and the ZONE 2 12V
TRIGGER OUT goes high (+12 V).

To select an input source for
Zone 2, press the [ZONE 2]
REMOTE MODE button, followed
by an INPUT SELECTOR button.
To select AM, FM, or XM, press the
[TUNER] INPUT SELECTOR button
repeatedly.

To turn off Zone 2, press the
[ZONE 2] REMOTE MODE button,
followed by the [STANDBY] but-
ton.
