MEMORY playback
You can select and store track numbers (up to 25) in a
desired playback order.
By combining this function with the CD dubbing func-
tion, you can easily create an MD of your favorite
recordings. (You cannot combine this function with the
CD double-speed dubbing function.)
To select a track number in memory:
Turn MULTI JOG or press / on the remote con-
troller repeatedly during MEMORY playback.
To check the track numbers in memory:
Press / while the CD/MD is stopped.
To erase a track number from memory:
While in MEMORY playback mode, and the CD/MD
is stopped, press EDIT/CLEAR/NO or CLEAR on
the remote controller. Each press erases the last
track number stored in memory.
If you change the playback mode, all data stored in
MEMORY playback will be erased.
When you eject the disc, all programmed data will
be erased.
Various ways to play CDs and MDs
Five different playback modes are available in addition to normal playback. Insert a CD or
MD before you begin operations (see pages 20 and 22).

Press MODE repeatedly until the MEM-
ORY indicator lights in the display.

Turn MULTI JOG to select the rst
track you want to play back, then
press MULTI JOG.
The selected track is stored in memory.
To select the next track to be played,
repeat this step.
You can also use the number buttons on
the remote controller to select a track.
To cancel a track number stored in
memory:
Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO. Each press
erases the last track number stored in
memory.

Note
If the total playing time of the programmed
tracks exceeds the following time length, the
FR-N3X does not display the total time. How-
ever, this does not affect MEMORY playback.
CD: --:-- appears when the total time meets
or exceeds 99 minutes 59 seconds.
MD: ---:-- appears when the total time
meets or exceeds 511 minutes 59 seconds.
You can program up to 25 tracks for a CD
and MD. If you try to program more tracks,
the unit displays Memory Full.

number you stored last, playback stops.
