Further playback options for DVDs
Language selection
To cycle through the available language options on a DVD:
using the handset -
Repeatedly press AUDIO.
Subtitles
To access available subtitles:
using the handset -
Press SUB-T.
Angle selection
Certain DVDs allow you to view the same scene from more than one viewpoint.
To perform angle selection:
using the handset -
Press ANGLE.
The next available angle will be selected.
Further presses of ANGLE selects subsequent angles.
Zoom and pan
Zoom allows you to view a DVD picture at different levels of magnification.
Pan allows you to move left and right or up and down across a zoomed DVD picture.
To perform zoom while a DVD is playing or paused:
using the handset -
Press ZOOM.
The picture changes to the next level of magnification (1.5x normal view) and ZOOM
1.5 is displayed on the TV.
Further presses of ZOOM selects greater levels of magnification: 2x, 4x normal view.
Another press of ZOOM returns the picture to normal view.
To perform pan on a zoomed picture:
Repeatedly press / / / on the handset.
Surround sound and audio modes
Most DVDs have a number of surround sound formats contained on the disc.The most common
formats are DTS ,Dolby Digital and two-channel Dolby Digital.
Once you have selected a surround sound format via the DVD’s menu,(see Using DVD menus,this
chapter) the CLASSIK Movie Di allows you to further amend the audio mode in order to restrict
the number of speakers used,if desired.
The options available are:
Audio mode Speakers used
DTS Full* Requires 5.1 channels (five full-range speakers plus subwoofer)
As Mix As many speakers as are available (up to 6)
3 Stereo Fronts and centre (plus subwoofer if available)
Phantom Fronts and rears (plus subwoofer if available)
Stereo** Fronts only (default for audio CD’s)
Stereo + Sub Fronts plus subwoofer
* Available only for discs featuring DTS format.
** If you are using only your TV speakers to hear the audio output of the
CLASSIK Movie Di, select this mode.
NOTE:
The CLASSIK Movie Di also supports DTS, Dolby Digital, two-channel Dolby Digital and
the above audio modes, on the digital inputs.
