Configuring the DPC-7.7
This chapter explains the various functions and settings of the onscreen setup menus.
Functions and settings are arranged into six menus: Picture, Audio, Language, Display, Operation Setting, and Initial.
The following table lists all the functions and settings, with a brief description and page number where you can find full
details.

Picture
TV Shape Select the aspect ratio that matches your TV. 45
View Mode Stretch the picture to fit your TV screen. 46
HDMI Output Setting Turn HDMI video output on or off. 46
Progressive Setting Set the component video output to progressive or interlaced. 46
HD Resolution Select the video resolution for the HDMI OUT. 46
HD JPEG mode For displaying JPEG images at a high resolution on a HDTV. 46
Video Black Level Choose a video black level. 47
Brightness Adjust the picture brightness. 47
Sharpness Adjust the picture sharpness. 47
Audio
Digital/HDMI Audio Out
Settings for the digital signal output by the optical, coaxial, and
HDMI digital audio outputs.

Linear PCM Out
Select whether or not the DPC-7.7 downsamples 96 kHz digi-
tal audio.

Dynamic Range Control Set the Dynamic Range function. 47
Language
On-Screen Language
Select a language for the onscreen setup menus and mes-
sages.

Disc Menu Language Select your preferred language for disc menus. 48
Audio Language Select your preferred language for soundtracks. 48
Subtitle Language Select your preferred language for subtitles. 48
Display
On-Screen Display Turn on or off onscreen messages and indicators. 48
On-Screen Display Color Select a color for onscreen setup menus and messages. 48
Background Select a background color for when playback is stopped. 48
Screen Saver Set the Screen Saver function. 48

Parental Lock Set the Parental Lock function. 49
Security Code Change a security code for use with parental lock. 49
Auto Power Off Sets the Auto power off function. 48
Initial Setup TV Shape
This menu appears automatically the very first time you turn on
your DPC-7.7. (These settings are available in other menus.)
