3. DEVICE OPERATION
(1) Playing audio files on a disc
1. Load a disc containing audio files.
• The display will change to “Loading.”. When the
contents of the disc have been read, the total number of
tracks will be displayed.
2. Turn the jog wheel to select a file you want to listen to.
The file name scrolls and back to the number of track on
the display.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
(Directory skip)
1. In shift mode, press the INDEX/DIR +/– button to select
a folder.
• The display will indicate each name of all folders
including sub-folders.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
• Playback will be started from the top file within the
selected folder.
(2) Advanced music files playback
The following "Advanced CD playback" functions are possible
with audio files on a disc in the same way as a standard CD-
DA disc.
See page 14-16 for detail of an operation.
