BASIC SETUP

The BASIC setup feature is a useful way to set up your
system quickly and with minimal effort. The BASIC setup
items are displayed on both the front panel of this unit and
your video monitor. By using the Screen Menu on your
video monitor, you can easily make any necessary
settings.

• If you wish to configure the unit manually using more precise
adjustments, use the detailed parameters in SOUND MENU
(page 38) instead of using BASIC SETUP.
• Altering the parameters in BASIC SETUP may cause some of
the parameters in SOUND MENU to be overwritten.
• The explanations in this document are based on the Screen
Menu. The characters shown in the front panel display may
differ from those on the Screen Menu.
■ Speaker set up
1 Switch on the receiver and video monitor.
2 Press AMP.
3 Press SET MENU.
The top display appears on your video monitor.
4 Press / to select BASIC SETUP, then
press ENTER.
5 Press / repeatedly to select ROOM.
Use / to select the size of the room you have
installed your speakers in. Roughly speaking, the
room sizes are defined as follows:
