TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Cause Remedy

The sound suddenly
goes off.
The protection circuitry has been activated
because of a short circuit, etc.
Check that the speaker wires are not touching each
other and then turn this unit back on.
The sleep timer has turned this unit off. Turn on this unit and play the source again.
The sound is muted. Press MUTE on the remote control.

Only the speaker on
one side can be
heard.
Incorrect cable connections. Connect the cables properly. If the problem persists,
the cables may be defective.

No sound from the
front speakers
The output level of the front speakers is
set to minimum.
Raise the level of the front speakers.

Only the center
speaker outputs
substantial sound.
When playing a monaural source with a
surround mode, the source signal is
directed to the center channel, and the
front and surround speakers output effect
sounds.
No sound from the
effect speakers.
The surround modes are turned off. Press PROGRAM l / h on the front panel (or one
of the surround mode selector buttons on the remote
control) to set this unit to the surround mode.

You are using a source or surround mode
combination that does not output sound
from all channels.
Try another surround mode.

center speaker.
The output level of the center speaker is
set to minimum.
Raise the level of the center speaker.
