Connecting audio
components
To enhance your system, you can connect optional
components.
Refer to the operating instructions of each
component.
Connecting the optional MD
deck MDS-SP55
CD Synchro Recording and Timer-recording are
possible when the SYSTEM CONTROL 3
connectors are connected.
Disconnect the supplied system cable from the
SYSTEM CONTROL 3 connectors on the tuner
and tape deck, and connect the system cable
supplied with the MD deck in the order of the
tuner, tape deck and MD deck. Connect the
supplied digital cable to DIGITAL OPTICAL
OUT on the CD player and DIGITAL OPTICAL
CD IN 1 on the MD deck.
Refer to the operating instructions included with
the MDS-SP55 MD deck for details on the
connection and operation.
Tip
Switch the function to “MD” when listening to or
recording the sound of the MDS-SP55 MD deck.
