Basic Operations
Playing the iPod
You can listen to audio contents stored in
the iPod on this system.
1 Press iPod 1 or iPod 2.
Using the remote:
Press and hold CHANNEL A, then
press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly to
select “iPod 1”.
Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly to
select “iPod 2”.
2 Place the iPod(s).
3 Press HS on respective
CHANNEL (or N* on the
remote) to start playback.
* To play back the iPod 1, press and hold
CHANNEL A, then press this button.
4 Turn VOLUME +/– (or press
VOLUME +/– on the remote) to
adjust the volume.
Notes
• To control the iPod connected to the iPod 1
connector, use the buttons on CHANNEL A
on the unit. If you want to control the iPod
using the remote, press and hold CHANNEL
A, then press the button you want.
• When you connect an iPod to the unit, the
iPod is automatically turned on if the system
is turned on.
• When placing or removing the iPod, handle
the iPod in the same angle as that of the iPod
connector on the unit and do not twist or sway
the iPod to prevent connector damage.
• Do not carry the unit with an iPod set on the
connector. Doing so may cause a malfunction.
• When placing or removing the iPod, brace the
unit with one hand and take care not to press
the controls of the iPod by mistake.
• Before disconnecting the iPod, pause
playback.
• Depending on the connected iPod, you may
not able to use m or M while playing
video. In this case, you can fast rewind or fast
forward by holding down l or L (or
. or > on the remote).
• To change the volume level, use
VOLUME +/–. The volume level does not
change even if adjusted on the iPod.
• This iPod 1 and iPod 2 connector are designed
for iPod only. You cannot connect any other
portable audio players.
• To use an iPod, refer to the operating
instructions of your iPod.
• Sony cannot accept responsibility in the event
that data recorded to iPod is lost or damage
when using an iPod with this unit.
• Some iPod operations may not be performed
using buttons on the unit or remote.
Other operations
You can control your iPod with the
following buttons on the remote or unit.
The remote buttons are assigned to
control functions on CHANNEL B, if you
want to control the iPod connected to the
iPod 1 connector, press and hold
CHANNEL A, then press the button you
want.
