Listening to the radio
Use buttons on the remote for the
operation.
1 Press FUNCTION +/– repeatedly
to select FM or AM band.
2 Press TUNING MODE repeatedly
until “AUTO” lights up in the
display.
3 Press +/–.
You can also use TUNE +/– on the
unit.
Scanning stops automatically when a
station is tuned in and “TUNED” lights
up in the display. When a FM stereo
program is tuned in, “STEREO” lights
up in the display.
Note
If “TUNED” does not light up and scanning
does not stop, see “To tune in a station with
a weak signal” below.
4 Press VOLUME +/– to adjust the
volume.

signal
Use buttons on the remote for the
operation.
1 Press TUNING MODE repeatedly
until “AUTO” and “PRESET”
disappear from the display.
2 Press +/– repeatedly to tune in the
station you want.
You can also use TUNE +/– on the
unit.
To change the AM tuning interval
(Except for European model)
The factory setting for AM tuning interval
is 9 kHz (or 10 kHz for some areas).
Use the buttons on the unit for the
operation.
1 Press TUNER/BAND repeatedly to
select AM band.
2 Press "/1 to turn off the system.
3 When demonstration appears, hold
down ENTER on CHANNEL B and
then press "/1.
The system turn on automatically.
“AM 9K STEP” or “AM 10K STEP”
appears in the display.
When you change the interval, all the AM
preset stations are erased.
Tip
To improve broadcast reception, adjust the
supplied antennas, or connect an external
antenna.
To reduce static noise on a weak FM
stereo station
Press FM MODE on the remote
repeatedly until “MONO” lights up in the
display.
There will be no stereo effect, but the
reception will improve.
