Basic Operations
Transferring onto an
USB device
You can transfer music from a sound
source to an optional USB device by
connecting it to the (USB) port on
the unit.
The audio format transferred by this
system is MP3. The approximate size of
the transferring is about 1 MB per minute
of transferring time (except MP3 disc).
The files those are transferred onto the
USB device is for personal use only.
See “Compatible devices with this
system” (page 52) for a list of USB
devices that can be connected to this
system.
There are three ways to transfer onto an
USB device.
CD-USB Synchronized Transfer:
You can easily transfer an entire disc onto
an USB device.
REC1 Transferring:
You can easily transfer a single track or
file from a disc that is currently being
played back onto an USB device.
Manual Transferring:
You can transfer just the portion you want
from a sound source (except CD).
Notes
• If the BEAT BLEND is activated during
Manual Transferring, the beat sound will be
transferred onto the USB device.
• The level of transferred sound during Manual
Transferring is depends on the CROSS
FADER slider position.
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.
1 Connect a transferable USB
device to the (USB) port on
the unit.
2 Prepare the transferring source.
For CD-USB Synchronized
Transfer:
Press CD, then load the disc you want
to transfer on the disc tray.
You can transfer tracks or files on a
disc in the order you want using
Program Play. Perform steps 2 to 6 of
“Creating your own program” on
page 34. However, the play mode
automatically changes to Normal Play,
if you start transferring in Program
Play with no tracks or files are
programmed, Shuffle Play or Repeat
Play.
For REC1 Transferring:
Press CD, then load the disc you want
to transfer on the disc tray. Select the
track or file you want to transfer, then
press HS on CHANNEL B.
For Manual Transferring:
Press the function button (except CD)
to select the source you want to
transfer.
If you want to record the “mix” sound
from 2 audio source, select a function
button on both CHANNEL A and B.
The recorded sound is depends on the
CROSS FADER slider position. For
details, refer page 31.
