Safety precautions when
setting up
When assembling the speakers, lay them down
flat on their side to avoid accidents or injury.
Make sure to use a stable surface when
assembling, setting up, and placing the
speakers.
Home theater sound setup
This is a standard multichannel surround sound
speaker setup for optimal 5.1 channel home
theater sound. The front left and right speakers
should be about 1.8 m to 2.7 m apart.
Connect the speakers
Attach one end of the speaker cable provided
with the speaker system (or a commercial
alternative) to the speaker cable adaptor
furnished as an accessory with this unit.
• When connecting the speakers, consult
the operating instructions provided with
the speaker system.
• This system is not provided with speaker
cables. Please purchase speaker cables
separately.
Twist exposed wire strands together.
While holding down the two buttons on the
adaptor, insert the wire ends of speaker cable
into the adaptor.
• White, Red, Blue, Grey and Green speaker
cable adaptors are provided as
accessories. Use these to attach your own
cables for the front left/right speakers,
surround left/right speakers and center
speaker.
• The speaker cable adaptors are color-
coded to their matching speakers. Insert
the proper cable into its adapter of
designated color.
Confirm the polarity (+/–)
indicated on the adaptor and cable, and
match the polarities properly.
Connect the speaker cable adaptors to the
color-coded speaker terminals on the rear of
the receiver. Make sure to insert completely.
• The small lug at the wire-end of the speaker
plug should face up or down depending on
whether it’s being plugged into one of the
upper or lower speaker terminals. Please
make sure to connect correctly.
Connect the other end to speaker terminals on
the speaker system. Make sure to insert
completely.
• Consult the operating instructions
provided with the speaker and confirm the
connection procedures.
