Erasing recordings (CD-RW discs only)
The data recorded on CD-RW discs can be erased
and the disc can be used again as many times as
desired. The erasing methods are given below.
Erasing data on unfinalized CD-RWs
Last track erase: Erases only the last track.
Multi-track erase: Erases all tracks from the selected
track to the final track.
All track erase: Erases all tracks.
Erasing data on finalized CD-RWs
All track erase: Erases all tracks.
TOC erase: Returns a finalized disc to the unfinalized
condition.
Erasing discs
Erases all data recorded on the CD-RW.
Notes:
If Disc Error appears during an erase, abort
the erase and check the disc for scratches, dirt,
or dust. After removing any dirt or dust that may
exist, resume the erase.
After performing an erase, always remove the
disc before turning off the power. If the disc is
left inside when the power is turned off, there is
a chance the erase may be left uncompleted.
Erasing data on non-finalized CD-RWs
Insert the CD-RW you wish to erase and place the
DX-R700 in the stop state.
Erasing all tracks
This operation will erase all recorded tracks and
entered names (the disc name, artist name, and/or
track titles) in the CD-RW disc.
