2 Start playback of the recording source.
3 Press the o REC button.
Rec Setup appears in the display followed by
the time display.
1 Repeatedly press the INPUT button
and select the desired input signal.
Select Digital In 1, Digital In 2, or Analog
In for the input source.
This method allows you to start recording in
synchronization with the input signals from the
Onkyo products that are not equipped with an z
connector or other manufacturer's products. When
recording with the Onkyo products equipped with
an z connector, refer to Synchronous recording
on page 24.
Notes:
Note the following when using synchronous
recording for digital input sources.
Sources other than CDs, MDs, DATs, and DCCs
cannot be recorded.
DATs and DCCs cannot be recorded if no start
ID is present before audio contents.
Synchronous recording uses a sub-code signal
that is contained in the digital output from most
player components, and therefore there may be
some CD players, MD recorders, or the like
where digital synchronous recording is
impossible.
Preparation
Turn on the DX-R700 (see page 16).
Place a recordable CD-R or CD-RW in the DX-
R700 (see page 17).
Verify that the input dial and recording selection
button of the amplifier are set to the position of
the recording source.
Proceed to step 6 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.
Proceed to step 3 if you do not wish to adjust
the recording level.
