Entering names
Entering track names
1 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select the
desired track.
During playback, pause, or recording, the track
selected currently will be named.

To write the entered names to the disc
Finalize the disc (see page 33).
The names you enter are temporarily stored in the
DX-R700 and then written to the disc during
finalization. Be aware of the following notes when
finalizing a disc.
Notes:
The name information for the disc is left in the
DX-R700 if you have ejected the disc without
finalizing it. In this case, even if you insert a new
disc and attempt to enter names for it, Erase
Name will appear and the attempt will fail. To
solve this, erase the retained names (see page
32) or insert the previous disc, finalize it, and
then replace it with the new disc.
You cannot finalize the disc if it has no disc
name.
If you enter names for a blank disc and eject it
without recording, the name information will
not be retained in the DX-R700.
You cannot enter names for the disc during auto
finalization.
2 Press the EDIT/NO button and turn the
MULTI JOG dial until “ Name In?”
appears.
Or, press the remote controller NAME button.
Pressing the NAME button proceeds to the state
after step 3 is complete (go to step 4).
