Part names and functions

where the part is introduced.
Front panel
1 ON/OFF switch and STANDBY indicator [15]
Press in to turn the power on, and release out to
turn the power off. If the power is turned off by
the remote control or by another system
component, the CDR-205X enters the standby
state and the STANDBY indicator lights.
2 Disc tray [16]
3 e (stop) button [36]
Press to stop recording or playback. Press while
playback or recording is stopped to erase the
programmed playback memory.
4 r (tray open/close) button [16]
Press to open and close the disc tray.
5 n (play/pause) button [36]
Press to start analog recording, digital recording,
and playback. Press during playback to pause
the playback. Press again to resume playback.
6 o REC (recording) button [22]
For analog and digital recording, press to place
the CDR-205X in the recording standby state.
7 q AMCS w dial [36]
Use to jump to tracks prior to or later than the
one currently playing. Use while playback is
stopped to select the track to play.
8 d/f(rewind/fast forward) buttons
[36]
Press to rewind or fast forward through the
track currently playing.
9 DISPLAY button [17]
Press to change the contents of the display.
10 YES button [20]
Press to finalize settings and confirm display
messages during CD dubbing and other
operations.
11 EDIT/NO button [20]
Press repeatedly to select the operations for CD
dubbing, erasing, and other operations. Press
while making settings to cancel displayed
messages.
