Because the unit contains a microcomputer to provide advanced functions, it may malfunction due to external noise or static electricity. If this
happens, press the POWER switch on the unit and then press it again after about five seconds.

• Station is too strong.
• Multiple reflection of the radio waves because
of tall buildings or mountains.
• Station is too weak.
• Stereo FM broadcasts cover only about half the
distance of an ordinary broadcast.
• The power cord has been unplugged or the
POWER switch has been turned off for a long
time.
• Wrong connection.
• No video input is assigned.
• Improper connection.
• Improper OSD selector setting.
• Improper connection.
• Improper video is assigned.
• The digital input selector is not set properly.
• The TV (or monitor) is not set to receive the out-
put signals from the receiver.
• The video cable is not connected securely.
• Only S-Video connection is made.
• Playback source is not Dolby Digital encoded.
• Playback source is not Dolby Digital , DTS
encoded.
• The listening mode is set to “Stereo,”
“5ch stereo” or “Direct.”
• Parameter may not be set depending on the lis-
tening mode.
• No batteries in remote controller.
• Batteries have worn out.
• The remote controller is not pointed at the re-
mote sensor of the receiver.
• The remote controller is too far from the
reciever.
Remedy
• Change to FM indoor antenna.
• Use antenna which has better directivity and select a
point where the distortion is least.
• Install an outdoor FM antenna.
• Change the position or direction of the outdoor an-
tenna.
• The memory contents are lost. Store all stations again.
• Check the connection again. Insert the plugs and con-
nectors completely.
• Assign a proper video input.
• Check connections.
• Set the OSD selector properly.
• Check connections.
• Check Video Assign setting.
• Check Digital Input setting.
• Set the TV (or monitor) to the receiver input.
• Check connections.
• Make also video connection.
• Check that the DOLBY DIGITAL indicator lights up
on the display.
• Check that the DOLBY DIGITAL, DTS indicator
lights up on the display.
