DISC PLAYBACK
Dialog Speed
only Moving picture
Available only on discs recorded in the Dolby Digital format,
Dialog Speed plays back in slightly faster or slower speed
while keeping the sound quality as in the normal playback.
During playback, press the
MODE button repeatedly until
the Dialog Speed setting
appears.
OFF appears on the TV screen.
Press the ENTER button or the Cursor buttons (
s or
B
) to switch among (x1.3), (x0.8) and OFF.
: Plays back approximately at 0.8 times of nor-
mal playback.
: Plays back approximately at 1.3 times of nor-
mal playback.
To return to normal playback, press the
PLAY button.
NOTES:
•Every time you press the STOP button, the setting will
be turned OFF.
Subtitle can be viewed during this function.
Picture Control, Black Level, Audio Language and
Virtual Surround setting cannot be changed while using
this mode.
Virtual Surround does not function while using this mode.
This feature may not work at some point on a disc.
When using digital audio connection (COAXIAL, OPTI-
CAL or HDMI), the LPCM sound will be output.
When using the Dialog Speed function with Multi-chan-
nel digital outputting, the analog output sound will be
fixed at 2 channel.
When using digital audio connection, only the Dolby
Digital sound will be available.
This feature does not work when the video format of
the inserted disc does not match to the output video
format setting of this unit (playing NTSC disc while TV
TYPE is set to PAL etc.).

Slide Show Mode
You can switch to the slide show mode during playback.
Press the MODE button during playback.
The slide show mode screen will appear.
•You cannot change to the slide show mode in stop mode
or from the file list screen or the Picture CD menu screen.
Press the ENTER button.
The slide show mode will change.
CUT IN/OUT: The entire image appears in one time.
FADE IN/OUT: The image appears and disappears
gradually.
Press the MODE button to exit.

Press the DISPLAY button
during playback.
Current file name will be dis-
played.
Press the DISPLAY button
again.
Title name based on tag infor-
mation of currently played-back
file will be displayed.
Press the DISPLAY button
again.
•Artist name based on tag infor-
mation of currently played-back
file will be displayed.
Press the DISPLAY button
again.
Current track number/total
tracks and elapsed time will be
displayed.
Current repeat setting appears only when the Repeat
setting is active.
(T:Track repeat/ A: All (disc) repeat/ G: Group
(folder) repeat).
When you are playing back a disc in program or ran-
dom mode, PROGRAM (or RANDOM) will be dis-
played.
Press the DISPLAY button again.
During program or random playback, each playback
status will be displayed when you press the DISPLAY
button.Then press the DISPLAY button again.
Current HDMI status will be displayed during the HDMI
output mode. (Refer to NOTE FOR HDMI DISPLAY on
this page.)
Press the DISPLAY button again to exit.
NOTE:
If the file does not contain tag information, NOT AVAIL-
ABLE will be displayed.
Press the DISPLAY button.
Current file name will be dis-
played.
Press the DISPLAY button.
Current track number/total
tracks and elapsed time will be
displayed.
During playback DivX

video
file, “--:--:--” is displayed at elapsed/remain time.
Current repeat setting appears only when the Repeat
setting is active.

remaining time of the current title, and current playback
status will be displayed.

Press the DISPLAY button again.
• Current HDMI status will be displayed during the HDMI
output mode. (Refer to NOTE FOR HDMI DISPLAY on
