Using Your Remote
The receiver comes with a basic remote control unit
thatcanbeprogrammedtocontrolboththereceiver
and/or the television.
A Word About Modes. To enable the remote
control to operate your receiver, and your TV, it has
two main modes of operation: CBL mode, and TV
mode. This means that whenyou press the CBL or TV
keys on the remote control, you enable it to control
eachof thesedevices,one ata time. Naturally, some of
the remote control keys have more than one function,
depending upon which mode youare using atthe time.
Keep this in mind as you read the descriptions for each
remotecontrolkey.Alsokeepinmind,someCBL
functions are available only within CBL mode.
Amongthese specialfunctions are accessto themenus
through the OPTIONS key and use of the Interactive
Program Guide (IPG) through the GUIDE key.
