Batteries
pInsert so the poles (K and L) match those in the remote control.
pDo not use rechargeable type batteries.
Do not;
pmix old and new batteries.
puse different types at the same time.
pheat or expose to flame.
ptake apart or short circuit.
pattempt to recharge alkaline or manganese batteries.
puse batteries if the covering has been peeled off.
pkeep together with metallic objects such as necklaces.
Mishandling of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage which can damage
items the fluid contacts and may cause a fire.
If electrolyte leaks from the batteries, consult your dealer.
Wash thoroughly with water if electrolyte comes in contact with any part of
your body.
Remove if the remote control is not going to be used for a long period of
time. Store in a cool, dark place.
Replace if the unit does not respond to the remote control even when held
close to the front panel.

Use
Aim at the sensor, avoiding obstacles, at a maximum range of about 7 me-
ters directly in front of the unit.
pKeep the transmission window and the unit’s sensor free from dust.
pOperation can be affected by strong light sources, such as direct sunlight,
and the glass doors on cabinets.
Do not;
pput heavy objects on the remote control.
ptake the remote control apart.
pspill liquids onto the remote control.
xC Setting the time
This is a 24-hour clock.
The example shows how to set the clock for 16:25 (4:25 p.m.).
1 Press [¦/I] to turn the unit on.
2 Press [CLOCK/TIMER] to display “CLOCK”.
Each time you press the button:

Within 5 seconds
Press [SET].
3 Press [TUNING (: or 9)] to set the time.
The time display can be changed in one minute units by tapping
the buttons, and quickly by holding down the buttons.
Press [SET].
The time is set and the original display is restored.
Displaying the clock
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The clock is shown for about 5 seconds.
Reset the clock regularly to maintain accuracy.
