SonicStage for Sony Net MDs is a software
application that utilizes Sony Corporation’s
copyright protection technology, “OpenMG.” It
allows users to store and play digital music
content on the hard disk drive of a computer, and
to transfer digital audio files from the hard drive
to an MD (check out) for portable listening.
For details on the installation and basic
operation of SonicStage for Sony Net MDs,
refer to the supplied SonicStage instruction
manual. For details on the advanced operation of
SonicStage for Sony Net MDs, refer to the
online help for SonicStage for Sony Net MDs.
Note
Be sure to install the SonicStage for Sony Net MDs
software to your computer before connecting the
system to your computer. If you are reinstalling the
software, be sure to disconnect the USB cable before
starting the installation.
Using SonicStage for Sony
Net MDs
1 Press NET MD on the unit.
The Net MD function is activated and “Net
MD” appears.
2 Start up and operate SonicStage for
Sony Net MDs on the personal
computer.
3 Quit SonicStage for Sony Net MDs after
use.
4 Press NET MD on the unit to turn off the
Net MD function.
Notes
While the Net MD function is on, you cannot change
the sound source nor operate the system except for
ejecting the MD with Z MD.
You cannot use the Net MD function while the timer
is on.
When “Check USB” appears in the display, check
the USB connection of the system and the personal
computer.
“CONNECT” appears in the display while you are
checking-in/out tracks with SonicStage for Sony Net
MDs. In this case, do not disconnect the supplied
USB cable. For details on check-in/out, refer to the
online help of SonicStage.
While the Net MD function is on, the following
functions are canceled or the settings are cleared:
Repeat Play, Shuffle Play, Program Play
Group function
