To add a character
After steps 1 and 2, press TCURSOR or
CURSORt until the cursor comes to the point
you want to add a character, then proceed to step
3.
Note
If you enter the symbol “//” between the characters in
disc titles such as “abc//def”, you may be unable to use
the Group Function.
Tip
You can label a track title during playback. The
playback repeats until you finish labeling.
Presetting to automatically
assign titles before recording
(only CDs with CD-TEXT
information)
During the CD-MD Synchro Recording
(page 15), CD-TEXT information is recorded
automatically. The factory setting is “On”.
To cancel recording the CD-TEXT
information automatically
Change the setting as follows.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch the
function to MD.
2 Press MENU/NO.
3 Press . or > repeatedly until “Setup?”
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
4 Press . or > repeatedly until “Txt
Save” appears, then press ENTER/YES.
5 Press . or > repeatedly until “Txt
Save Off” appears, then press ENTER/YES.
6 Press MENU/NO.
Note
Even when “Txt Save Off” is selected, the CD-TEXT
information is recorded automatically depending on
the disc.
Checking the titles
To check the disc titles, press SCROLL in stop
mode. To check the track title, press SCROLL
during playback. The title appears scrolling in
the display.
To check the group titles, press GROUP
repeatedly in stop mode until “GROUP”
appears, press GROUP SKIP repeatedly until
the desired group appears, then press SCROLL.
To stop scrolling, press SCROLL. Press the
button again to resume scrolling.
Erasing the titles
1 To erase group titles, press GROUP
repeatedly in stop mode until
“GROUP” appears.
2 Press MENU/NO in stop mode.
3 Press . or > repeatedly until “Nm
Erase?” appears, then press ENTER/
YES.
To erase disc titles
Press . or > repeatedly until “Nm
Ers Disc” appears, then press ENTER/YES.
To erase track titles
Press . or > repeatedly until the
desired track number appears, then press
ENTER/YES.
To erase group titles
Press . or > repeatedly until the
group number appears, press GROUP SKIP
repeatedly until the desired group number
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
“Complete!” appears.
Note
You cannot erase the title of a group that does not have
any tracks registered.
