Troubleshooting
Power does not turn on
Is the power cable correctly connected?
Is the power LED lit green?
If the power LED is lit red, the MR-2000S is in
standby mode. Press the power button to turn it on
(

Nothing appears in the display
Is the contrast adjusted correctly? (p.29)
No sound
Is the MR-2000S and the connected equipment pow-
ered-on? (
p.4)
•Are the amp or headphone connections incorrect?
Is the headphone volume set to "0"?
Can't hear the audio input
•Are the recording settings correct?
Does the input source match the input device? (
p.13)
Is the recording level raised?
Make sure that audio is being input.
Verify that the level meters are moving.
Playback will not start immediately after select-
ing a song
When you select a project/file located in a folder other
than the current project/file, the MR-2000S is designed
to calculate the total playback time of files in the folder,
and therefore may take some time before playback can
start.
To avoid this situation, we recommend that you store
the desired songs in a play list, or use your computer to
move the desired songs into the same folder.
Sampling frequency indicator blinks
The sampling frequency of your playback or recording
device does not match the S/P DIF or word clock.
Match the sampling frequency. If you're using 1-bit
format, you must input 44.1 kHz.
Clock source indicator blinks
The clock source is not set to "S/P DIF" or "WORD."
Set the clock source setting to match the input jack
you're using.
Can't record
Does the input source match the input device? (p.13)
•Are the input level lowered?
Is there sufficient hard disk space remaining?
Set the counter display to "REC REMAIN" and check
the remaining time available for recording. (

The recording is interrupted
Could the MR-2000S have been bumped while record-
ing?
Could the MR-2000S have been in a location subject to
continuous vibration (such as near a motor or a bass
amp) while recording?
USB
Your computer does not detect the MR-2000S
Is the USB cable connected correctly? (p.33)
Re-connect the cable.
Can't release the MR-2000S from your computer
The procedure will depend on the operating system of
your computer. (

When you connect the MR-2000S, you are asked
to install software or a device driver
