Activating the surround modes
Once you have set the surround modes, you can use the same adjustment every time you want to enjoy the
surround you want. The receiver memorizes surround adjustments for each mode.
Note:
When you select “DVDMULTI” as the source to play, the surround mode is canceled temporarily.
On the front panel:
1. Press DAP/SURROUND MODE so that the Control % / fi / @ / # buttons work for selecting
the DAP/surround modes.
The lamp next to the button lights up.
2. Press Control @ / # to select the surround mode.
The SURROUND indicator lights up on the display.
Each time you press the button, the DAP and surround modes alternately come into effect.
3. Press Control % / fi until the surround mode you want appears on the display.
Each time you press the button, the surround modes change as follows (the indicator of the selected
surround mode also lights up on the display):
4. Select and play a sound source which was processed with Dolby Surround and is labeled with
DOLBY SURROUND
mark.
To cancel the surround mode, press Control % / fi until “SURR OFF” appears in step 3 above.
The SURROUND indicator and the indicator of the selected surround mode goes off from the display.
From the remote control:
1. Set the remote control mode selector to the “SOUND CONTROL” position.
10 keys are activated for adjusting the sounds.
2. Press SURR MODE until the surround mode you want appears on the display.
The SURROUND indicator also lights up on the display.

surround mode also lights up on the display):
