MD Operation
Selecting D.H.E. Mode
Using digital signal processing technology,
D.H.E. (Digital Harmonics Enhancer) operates
on harmonic components which determine tone
and coloration of the musical instruments. The
process operates independently on individual
frequency bands, so each instrument or vocal
will be distinct. Play back clarity is enhanced to
compensate for road noises which would
normally detract from the listener’s enjoyment.
Press the D.H.E. button until the desired mode
will be displayed.
With each press, the mode will change D.H.E.
1, D.H.E. 2, D.H.E. 3, D.H.E. 4, D.H.E. 5, OFF.
Notes when setting D.H.E./Surround/
Equalizer
The mode currently set is displayed by
pressing the D.H.E./SUR/EQ button once.
Then, the effect is changed by each
successive press (within 5 seconds).
While making this adjustment, other
operations will not be accepted.
When turning the unit power on for the first
time after resetting, each mode is set to
default.
