D Warning - Tapping or dropping the microphone while it is on can permanently damage
your microphone. Resist the urge to swing the microphone around by the cord!
PREPARATION
! This unit is designed to play CD’s bearing the identification logo “ ”. If CD’s do not
conform to the CD standard, they may not play properly.
! Fingerprints and dust should be carefully wiped off with a soft cloth. Wipe in a straight motion
from the center of the disc to the outside edge.
! Never use chemicals, such as record cleaning sprays, antistatic sprays or fluids, benzene or
thinner to clean compact disc. These chemicals will permanently damage the plastic surface
of the disc.
! Always place the compact disc on the disc tray with the label facing upward. Compact discs
can be played on only one side.
! To remove a disc from its storage case, press down on the center of the case and lift the disc
out, holding it carefully by edges.
! Discs should be returned to their cases after use to protect them from dust and scratches.
! To prevent warping the disc, do not expose it to direct sunlight, high humidity or high
temperatures for extended periods of time.
! Do not apply paper or write anything on either side of the disc. The inks used in some felt-tips
pens, may damage the surfaces of the disc.
PLAYING CD OR CD+G DISC
Reminders:
! Never place anything except a compact disc on the disc drawer. Foreign objects can damage
the unit.
! Do not apply excessive force to disc drawer.
! Do not place more than one disc in each location of the drawer.
TURNING POWER ON/OFF
To turn on the Karaoke center, press the POWER button. The VFD will light up. To turn off the
system, press the POWER button again, the VFD will turn off. You can also use the POWER
button located on the remote control to turn the system ON and OFF.
FUNCTION SELECT
Press FUNCTION SELECT button to select the “CD” function.
LOADING A DISC
1. Press the POWER button to turn the power on.
2. Press the FUNCTION button to select the “CD” function. “CD” blinks on the display, then “no
disc” appears.
3. Press the CD OPEN/CLOSE button, the disc tray slides out.
4. Place each disc in the tray with the label facing up.
5. Press the DISC SKIP button to turn the carousel to the next tray position.
Note: Do not touch the carousel while it is rotating.
6. Press the CD OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the disc tray.
(Refer to the Trouble Shooting Guide on page E19 if a disc is loaded but the total tracks
do not appear.)
