The Set-Up & Test Menu
The Set-up & Test menu is designed to ensure that you get the optimal
performance from your digital receiver. It lets you adjust the receiver to
your TV and VCR, choose an alternate audio track and run a diagnostic
test.
System Test
The System Test offers four separate tests: signal, tuning, phone
connection, and access card.
To test the system:
1. Point to Set-up & Test in the Main menu and press SELECT•MENU.
2. Point to System Test and press SELECT•MENU.
The System Test helps diagnose any problems.
A screen appears, telling you whether the system passed each test. If the
system fails a test, run the system test several times before concluding
that there is a problem. Occasional disruptions in the phone line or
broadcast signal can give temporary false test results.
Audio Choice
Some television programs are broadcast with alternate language
options.
The Audio Choice on-screen button in the Set-up & Test menu allows
you to select different audio tracks (when available) to listen to with
broadcast programs.
To select an alternate audio track:
1. Point to Audio Choice and press SELECT•MENU.
2. Point to the preferred language and press SELECT•MENU.
