Step 7: Set the VCR Code
To complete this step, make sure you have connected the VCR controller
as described in step 4. To control your VCR, you will then need to tell the
digital receiver which VCR brand you are using. This is done by selecting
Set VCR Code from the Set-up & Test menu.
1. Make sure your TV is tuned to the channel that displays the digital
receiver picture, i.e. channel 3,4 or the Video Input channel.
2. Press the LOOK button on the remote control. The receiver should
turn on.
3. Press the MENU•SELECT button. The Main menu should appear on
the TV screen.
Press MENU•SELECT to bring up the Main menu.
4. Press the down arrow on the remote until the menu item Set-up &
Test is highlighted on the menu screen, then press MENU•SELECT.
6. Press the down arrow on the remote control until the menu item
Set VCR Code is highlighted, then press MENU•SELECT.
7. Use the arrows or digit keys to input the correct code for your VCR
brand. The VCR Codes are located on the following page.
