Sub remote control unit
VSX-AX4ASi only
The second remote control supplied with this receiver is
for use with the multi-room listening feature, as
explained on page 57. Note that you must connect a
separate IR receiver as explained in
Connecting an IR
receiver
on page 59 for remote control in your sub
room(s).
1 RECEIVER
This switches between standby and on for this receiver.
2 Input source buttons
Press to select control of other components (see
Controlling the rest of your system
on page 71).

TOP MENU
Displays the top menu of an iPod.

(TUNE/ST) /
ENTER
Use the arrow buttons when setting up your surround
sound system (see page 35) and the AV options
(page 66). Also used to control iPod menus. Use the
TUNE

buttons to find radio frequencies and use
ST

to find preset stations (page 33).

Selects the shuffle mode of an iPod (page 48).

DISP
Switches between named station presets and radio
frequencies (page 34).
7 Component control buttons
These are used to control a component after you have
selected it using the input source buttons.
8 MUTE
Mutes the sound or restores the sound if it has been
muted (adjusting the volume also restores the sound).
9 Multi-room select
Selects the room you want to control using this remote.

Selects the repeat mode of an iPod (page 48).

Press to confirm and exit the current menu screen.
BAND
Switches between AM and FM radio bands (page 33).

Switches between the three banks (classes) of radio
station presets (page 33).

Press to view iPod photos and video content
