WMA is short for Windows Media" Audio
and refers to an audio compression technol-
ogy that is developed by Microsoft Corpora-
tion. WMA data can be encoded by using
Windows Media Player version 7 or later.
Windows Media and the Windows logo are tra-
demarks or registered trademarks of Microsoft
Corporation in the United States and/or other
countries.

! This unit may notoperate correctly depending
on the application used to encodeWMA files.
! Depending on theversion of Windows Media
Player used to encodeWMA files, album
names and other textinformation may not be
correctly displayed.
! There may be aslight delay when starting
playback of WMAfiles encoded with image
data.
Use and care of the remote
control
Installing the battery
Slide the tray out on the back of the remote
control and insert the battery with the plus (+)
and minus () poles pointing in the proper di-
rection.
WARNING
Keep the battery out of thereach of children.
Should the battery be swallowed,immediately
consult a doctor.
CAUTION
! Use only one CR2025(3 V) lithium battery.
! Remove the battery if theremote control is not
used for a month or longer.
! Do not recharge, disassemble, heator dispose
of the battery in fire.
! Do not handlethe battery with metallic tools.
! Do not store thebattery with metallic materi-
als.
! In the event ofbattery leakage, wipe the re-
mote control completelyclean and install a
new battery.
! When disposing ofused batteries, please
comply with governmental regulations oren-
vironmental public institutionsrules that
apply in your country/area.
Using the remote control
Point the remote control in the direction of the
front panel to operate.
Important
! Do not store theremote control in high tem-
peratures or direct sunlight.
! The remote controlmay not function properly
in direct sunlight.
! Do not let theremote control fall onto the
floor, where it maybecome jammed under the
brake or accelerator pedal.
Protecting your unit from
theft
The front panel can be detached from the
head unit and stored in the provided protective
case to prevent theft.
! If the front panel is not detached from the
head unit within five seconds of turning off
the ignition, a warning tone will sound.
