! When playing discswith MP3/WMA/WAV files
and audio data (CD-DA) such as CD-EXTRA
and MIXED-MODE CDs, bothtypes can be
played only byswitching mode between MP3/
WMA/WAVand CD-DA with BAND.
! If you have switchedbetween playback of
MP3/WMA/WAV filesand audio data (CD-DA),
playback starts at thefirst track on thedisc.
! The built-in CD playercan play back an MP3/
WMA/WAV file recordedon CD-ROM. (Refer
to page 40 for files thatcan be played back.)
! Do not insert anythingother than a CD into
the CD loading slot.
! There is sometimesa delay between starting
up CD playbackand the sound being issued.
When being read, FORMAT READ is dis-
played.
! If you cannot insert adisc completely or if
after you insert a disc the discdoes not play,
check that the labelside of the disc is up.
Press EJECT to ejectthe disc, and check the
disc for damage beforeinserting it again.
! Playback is carriedout in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder 01 (ROOT) containsno files, playback
commences with folder02.)
! When playing backfiles recorded as VBR
(variable bit rate)files, the play time will notbe
correctly displayed iffast forward or reverse
operations are used.
! If the inserted disccontains no files that can
be played back, NOAUDIO is displayed.
! If the inserted disccontains WMA files that
are protected by digitalrights management
(DRM) , SKIPPED is displayedwhile the pro-
tected file is skipped.
! If all the fileson the inserted disc are secured
by DRM, PROTECTis displayed.
! There is no soundon fast forward or reverse.
! If an error messagesuch as ERROR-11 is dis-
played, refer to Understanding built-inCD
player error messages on page39.
! When an MP3/WMA/WAV disc isinserted,
folder name and filename begin to scroll to
the left automatically.
