Main menu Speaker Setup
Here you can check the settings made by Audyssey 2EQ
Room Correction and Speaker Setup function, or set them
manually, which is useful if you change one of the con-
nected speakers after using Audyssey 2EQ Room Correc-
tion and Speaker Setup function.
Note
These settings are disabled when:
a pair of headphones is connected, or
•theAudio TV Out” setting is set to “On” (49) and an input
selector other than HDMI is selected.
Speaker Settings
Speaker Terminal Assign
Front High/Zone2
With this setting, you can specify the speakers con-
nected to FRONT HIGH OR ZONE 2 SPEAKERS
terminals.
`Front High
:
Front high speakers can be used.
`Zone2:
Zone 2 speakers can be used. (Powered Zone 2
enabled).
SurrBack/Front High
With this setting, you can specify the speakers con-
nected to SURR BACK OR FRONT HIGH SPEAK-
ERS terminals.
`Surr Back
:
Surround back speakers can be used.
`Front High:
Front high speakers can be used.
Note
•IfFront High” is selected in the “Front High/Zone2” setting,
you cannot select “Front High” here.

Subwoofer, Center, Surround

:
Select if a subwoofer/speaker(s) is connected.
`No:
Select if no subwoofer/speaker is connected.
Front High

Select if a speaker(s) is connected.

Select if no speaker is connected.
Surr Back

Select if a speaker(s) is connected.

Select if no speaker is connected.

If the “Surround” setting is set to “No”, this setting cannot be
selected.

If Powered Zone 2 is being used (54), this setting cannot be
selected.

If you have selected other than “Front High” in the “Front
High/Zone2” or “SurrBack/Front High” setting, this setting
cannot be selected.

If you have selected other than “Surr Back” in the “Surr-
Back/Front High” setting, this setting cannot be selected.
Surr Back Ch
`1ch:
Select if only one surround back speaker L is con-
nected.
`2ch
:
Select if two (left and right) surround back speakers
are connected.
Note
If the “Surr Back” setting is set to “No” (39), this setting
cannot be selected.
Speaker Setup
Some of the settings in this section are set automatically
by Audyssey 2EQ
®
Room Correction and Speaker
Setup function (23).
If you change these settings, you must run
Audyssey 2EQ Room Correction and Speaker Setup
again (23).
Speaker configuration settings only need to be
changed if you are not using all of the speakers in this
package.
